We are a handmade accessory brand based in Hiroshima, spreading messages of peace through products made from 100% recycled paper.
We create one-of-a-kind, handmade souvenirs filled with warmth, so visitors to Hiroshima can cherish wonderful memories long after returning home.
We also sell flower accessories inspired by seasonal blooms for use with nail polish .
We help you find your own sparkle in everyday life, while respecting each person's values.
ORIZURU
日本の手仕事、広島土産として人気の「ORIZURU」シリーズ。わずか4cmの上品な友禅染の和紙を使用し、丁寧に折り込み作られた鶴を商品にしております。
日本の伝統的な文化である折り紙の１つの「折り鶴」ですが広島では"平和のシンボル"とも言われており、「折り鶴」は意味深いものがあります。
「鶴は千年～」と言われた様に、昔から縁起の良いとされる鶴は、お祝いごとの贈り物にも最適です。"幸運を引き寄せる・願いが叶う"開運アイテムとして、手作業でひとつひとつ大切に制作しております。
The popular “ORIZURU” series, a Japanese handmade craft and Hiroshima souvenir.
Each crane is meticulously folded using elegant Yuzen-dyed Japanese paper, measuring just 4cm.
While the origami crane is part of Japan's traditional culture, in Hiroshima it is also known as a “symbol of peace,” giving it profound meaning.
Cranes have long been considered auspicious, making them an ideal gift for celebrations.
Handcrafted with care, one by one, each piece is a good luck charm designed to “attract fortune and grant wishes.”

世界中から広島平和記念公園に捧げられた折鶴を100％用いて作られた手漉き再生紙を使用しています。この鮮やかな紙は、千羽鶴100％の純度にこだわり、特別発注で制作した再生紙です。
広島には国内をはじめ世界中から千羽鶴が寄せられ、その数は毎年約10トンにのぼります。その千羽鶴に込められた平和を願う気持ちや、優しい思いを今度は私たちの手から商品となって未来へ紡いでいく。そんな思いで制作しています。
また、この「～紡ぐ～」シリーズの制作過程には、たくさんの人々が携わっております。外で働くことが難しい方や、障害のある方が働く作業所へ委託し、商品作りを通して積極的に社会貢献にも取り組んでおります。
This handmade recycled paper is made using 100% origami cranes donated to Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park from around the world.
This vibrant paper is a specially commissioned recycled paper, meticulously crafted with a commitment to 100% purity from origami cranes.
Hiroshima receives origami cranes from across Japan and the world, amounting to approximately 10 tons annually.
We create this paper with the intention of weaving the wishes for peace and the gentle sentiments embodied in those cranes into products made by our hands, passing them on to the future.
Furthermore, many people are involved in the production process of this “~Spinning~” series.
We commission work to workshops where people who find it difficult to work outside or individuals with disabilities are employed, actively contributing to society through the creation of these products.
Tree of peace
Sakuroでは、広島で被爆しながらも現在まで大地に根を伸ばし力強く生き続けている樹木を違う形に再生し平和や愛や生きる力を感じられる何かにしたいと考えました。
それらが人の手に渡り、平和へ繋がる事を信じて平和の木プロジェクトを立ち上げました。
At Sakuro, we wondered if we could transform trees that survived the atomic bombing in Hiroshima into something new—something that conveys peace, love, and the power to live.
Believing these trees could pass into people's hands and connect them to peace, we launched the Peace Tree Project.

Sakuroでは、外で働くことが難しい、主に女性の方に作業の一部を委託したり、障害のある方が働く作業所へ委託することで、商品作りを通して社会貢献に取り組んでいます。

SDGs Initiatives
At Sakuro, we contribute to society through our product creation by outsourcing some tasks to individuals who find it difficult to work outside, primarily women, and to workshops employing people with disabilities.
Currently, we are looking for a workshop that can be commissioned to do light work for us.

私は広島で生まれ、広島で育ち、いつもそばにある平和な日常は当たり前では無いのだ、という事を8月を迎える度に切に感じてきました。
今、広島には世界中から平和の願いが込められた千羽鶴が年間約10ｔ程寄贈されています。その思いをいつでも思い出して頂ける様に身に着けられる、持ち歩ける「平和の思い」を広島のお土産としてもの作りを通して賛同して下さる仲間と共に紡いでおります。
どれが正解という事は無く、人にはそれぞれのカラーがあり、形がある。それを個性と呼ぶのでしょう。そういった自分のカラーや好きなものや事柄に囲まれたら気分も明るく楽しく時には優しい気持ちになるのではないでしょうか。
流行はなるべく追わず、日常の中に自分色のときめきを見つけるお手伝いが出来たらSakuroとしては最高に幸せな事だと思います。
I was born and raised in Hiroshima, and each time August arrives, I am deeply reminded that the peaceful everyday life always present around us is not something to be taken for granted.
Today, Hiroshima receives approximately 10 tons of paper cranes annually, each folded with wishes for peace from around the world.
To help people always remember these sentiments, we are creating wearable, portable “thoughts of peace” as Hiroshima souvenirs. We are weaving these together with like-minded partners who support this endeavor through craftsmanship.
There is no single correct answer; each person has their own color and shape. That is what we call individuality.
Surrounding yourself with your own colors, favorite things, and passions can brighten your mood, bring joy, and sometimes even foster a gentle spirit.
For Sakuro, nothing would make us happier than to help you find your own spark of excitement within everyday life, rather than chasing trends.

広島で生まれる。
動物をこよなく愛し、小物づくりや、絵を描くことが好き。
◆2015年
以前から好きだった物作りを通して家でも出来る仕事を模索。
マニキュアフラワーアクセサリーの魅力に出会い、制作を始める。
同時に広島ならではの作品が作りたいと思い、折鶴をモチーフとしたお土産づくり開始。
◆2018年11月開業
本格的に物づくりをしたいと開業。
同時期に委託販売を始める。
少しずつ委託先を広げ、イベントにも積極的に参加。
◆2020年～現在
広島で手作りのお土産商品を広めるべく各専門家に助言を受けながら奮闘中。
マニキュアフラワーの技術を磨き、自分にしか出来ない作品を作り、お客様に喜んでいただくことを目指す。
自分を含め、子育て、介護で外に働きに出にくい方の働き方や社会参加のスタイルを模索中。
◆今後の展望
お土産商品の作業を細分化して出来る事を出来る方に委託し、主に女性の柔軟な働く場所作りのお手伝いをしていく。
障害のある方の社会参加・生きがい作りを推進する努力をしてまいります。

Deeply loves animals and enjoys making small crafts and drawing.
◆2015
Sought work she could do from home through crafting, a long-time passion.
Discovered the appeal of manicure flower accessories and began creating them.
Simultaneously, wanting to make Hiroshima-inspired pieces, started crafting souvenirs featuring origami cranes as motifs.
◆November 2018: Business Launch
Launched the business to pursue crafting seriously.
Simultaneously began consignment sales.
Gradually expanded consignment locations and actively participated in events.
◆2020–Present
Striving to promote handmade souvenirs in Hiroshima while seeking advice from various experts.
I aim to refine my nail flower technique, create pieces only I can make, and bring joy to customers.
I am exploring work styles and social participation models for people, including myself, who find it difficult to work outside the home due to childcare or caregiving responsibilities.
◆Future Outlook
I plan to break down the work involved in making souvenir products into smaller tasks and outsource them to those capable of handling them. My primary goal is to help create flexible workplaces, especially for women.
I will strive to promote social participation and a sense of purpose for people with disabilities.
